Suspect in the Wallasey Pub Shooting
The shooter who murdered a lady and wounded four others in a Wallasey bar shooting is being sought by police. The Lighthouse Pub in Wallasey Village was packed on Christmas Eve when the tragedy occurred. Some of those there that night attempted to assist and deliver CPR to the victims.
Detective Superintendent Sue Coombs stated of the heinous act, “No family should have to face this ordeal at any time other than Christmas.” She also said that their professionally trained family liaison officers were there for the family during this difficult time and told them that the police were committed to locate those responsible.
Coombs said that the probe was still in its preliminary stages. She claimed that they were attempting to identify a culprit, motivation, and details surrounding the “callous and cold-blooded shooting.” Wallasey Pub explained what she knew about the event, saying, “We believe the gunman fired shots at the front entrance to the pub.” She also said that a dark-colored automobile, most likely a Mercedes A-Class, was observed leaving the site immediately after the incident.
“We’re especially interested in speaking with the driver of that car,” Coombs added. The Detective Superintendent promised that he would not rest until the shooters were apprehended. She also urged anybody with knowledge or substantial evidence on their dashcam, doorbell camera, or mobile phone to call police.
