Even though he is best recognized for playing Bryan, he has proven adept at playing a variety of characters over the course of his career. He doesn’t have a specific skill set; rather, he is renowned for his overall game mastery.

Due to his consistency across two decades of Tekken tournaments and multiple notable tournament triumphs, Knee is recognized by many as the best Tekken player of all time.

In October 2021, he became the first Tekken player to unlock every character in the game and to reach Tekken God Omega, the top rating.

Are Tekken Knee in jail?

Thankfully, Tekken Knee was not detained, and the rumors that he had been were only false.

Reddit users started posting about Knee being detained and arrested, which led to the spread of false information about his detention. But the reports are untrue, and Knee hasn’t done anything to merit an arrest.

In 2007, he started to rule Tekken 5, and since then, he has constantly finished well in international tournaments. The key to his consistency is his thorough, painstaking approach to researching Tekken.

Using his fifteen years of competitive expertise, Knee has amassed an unequaled amount of game knowledge by playing every character in the game to comprehend their kit and interactions with other characters.

What acted as Tekken Knee? His Professional Successes

During the first two years of Tekken 7, Knee faced fierce competition from top players like JDCR, Saint, and Qudans as they rose through the ranks.

In his inaugural Tekken World Tour season in 2017, he only managed to win a Challenger event at Abuget Cup and, in a surprise upset, lost all of his Group Stage matchups at the Finals to Nobi, Saint, and Jimmyjtran.

The Korean would make a full recovery in the 2018 Campaign after winning EVO Japan 2018 and a total of five Master events en route to the Finals. He was eliminated by Rangchu, the winner, and the Korean came in third.

Jae-Min “Knee” Bae also traveled to Pakistan in 2019 to train for the Tekken World Tour finals.

Before the Tekken World Tour finals, it made complete sense for Knee to visit Pakistan in order to learn from a country that hasn’t received much attention outside and to recognize the Pakistani fighting game scene for its explosive debut.

What’s become of Tekken Knee?

Tekken Knee currently has a deal with ROX Dragons. Knee used to be a devoted fan, playing whatever fighting game he could get his hands on.

But as Tekken grew in popularity over time, other arcade titles started to go away or lose their presence, forcing Knee to focus entirely on the Tekken name. Since there were no professional athletes in existence at the time, Knee’s major goal was to “be the best in Korea.”

Knee ultimately missed that target and went on to become the finest player in the world as well as Korea—until he ran into Arslan Ash, a fierce foe.

In 2022, Knee and Feng successfully defended their third EVO championship, with Khan dropping just two games to them the entire time.
