On July 29, 2023, Gregory John Parent, a devoted husband, a loving father, and a gifted person, died away.
Greg, who was reared in Glastonbury, Connecticut but was really born in Schenectady, New York, excelled in sports while attending Glastonbury High School.
He continued his study after finishing high school and earned a degree in Actuarial Mathematics from Plymouth State University.
He showed that he was dedicated to lifelong learning and academics. When Greg co-owned and ran Earth, Stone, and Water in Medford, Massachusetts, he displayed his artistic and creative talents.
He excelled in complex masonry, cascades, and the design of lovely playscapes to accentuate the beauty of residential estates alongside his beloved buddy Chris.
He had a good disposition and took great pleasure in entertaining friends and family, making everyone happy. His family was his main source of enjoyment, though.

Greg loved every second he spent with Maegan, his wife, and his two girls, Brynn Mary, and Isla Mae, who were the center of his universe.
Gregory and Maegan exchanged their marriage vows on October 6, 2012. We enjoyed the delights of life together for eleven happy years of marriage.
Greg loved family movie nights and was a committed husband and father who went to his daughter’s athletic activities.
Making the most of their time together was their top priority, and the memories they made will always have a special place in the hearts of his loved ones.
The lives of those Greg touched have been left empty by his premature passing, and his family, friends, and community will deeply miss him.
Gregory John Parent, who passed away at the age of 44, left a legacy of love, creativity, and compassion.
He was the cherished brother of Andrew and Jeffrey Parent and the adored son of Paul and Candace Parent of Glastonbury, Connecticut.
Greg was also the adoring uncle of Jackson and Evan’s Parent. In addition to his personal family, he had a close buddy and business partner in Exeter, New Hampshire, named Christopher Mann.
Greg Parent’s funeral service was organized on GoFundMe
With the aid of GoFundMe, John Mathias launched a campaign to honor Greg’s memory and support his family during this trying time.
On Friday, August 4, 2023, from 3 to 7 p.m., a viewing will be held at the Cota Funeral Home in North Reading, Massachusetts.
The funeral home will conduct a ceremony after the viewing. Greg’s family has also been given access to a GoFundMe page to help with emergency necessities and costs.
Greg’s passing has left a void in the lives of his family, friends, and the neighborhood he had an impact on.
However, his imagination, kindness, and affection will live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him.
May they find comfort in the support of one another and the impact Greg has had on their lives as they gather to grieve and remember his life. His soul will reside in peace.
