Todd Tonnochy Arrested for Hailey Nieto’s Death
Todd Tonnochy, a Texas inmate, murdered an 18-year-old Reno woman. On March 28, Todd Tonnochy, 39, was arrested in a Midland, Texas, hotel after Hailey Nieto’s body was found on a rural road near Cold Springs. Reports of weird activities led police to a dirt extension off North Virginia St. on March 23 at about 6 p.m.
Nieto, 18, was found dead. An autopsy showed she was shot in the face, and homicide authorities are investigating. Police believe Tonnochy fled following the teen’s killing. The Washoe County Sheriff’s Office requested U.S. Marshal’s assistance in finding Tonnochy. Investigators said this case has no unresolved suspects and thank community members for reporting. Hailey Nieto Death-Murder Update
