The devastated mother attended the almost four-week trial every day. Ms. Korbel departed Manchester crown court with a pink teddy bear. Merseyside Police called Cashman “not worthy of wandering.”
Thomas will be sentenced on Monday (3 April 2023) for injuring Ms. Korbel, attempted murder of Joseph Nee, and gun possession to endanger life. Cashman cried after the hearing. On Monday, the culprit will be sentenced to life with a minimum of 30 years.

Police called Thomas Cashman’s act “abhorrent,” shocking the country. Maria Corr, CPS Mersey-Cheshire challenging casework unit, called Cashman a “ruthless criminal.”
