Who is Allecia Wilson?

Allecia Wilson, a specialist in pediatric pathology, is also an assistant professor, the director of the autopsy and forensic services, and the coordinator of the residency training program.

Her recent rise to popularity was a result of her participation in George Floyd’s autopsy, who was slain by a police officer.

When asked to determine how George passed away, she determined that homicide and mechanical asphyxia were the causes of and methods of death, respectively. Allecia graduated with her M.D. in 2004 from the University of Michigan.

She is in charge of the University of Michigan’s forensic pathology and autopsy divisions. She works as an assistant professor at the same university where she received her M.D. as a second employment.
