Stanley and Connie Thomas had Peter Thomas in Edinburgh in 1943 when his father was in the Royal Navy. A year later, he relocated to Ormskirk, Lancashire, and then to Merthyr after the war.
He attended Cyfarthfa Castle and Twynyrodyn Infant School before boarding at Taunton School. He began his unmatched affiliation with the Blue and Blacks in 1961 when he was selected for Cardiff Youth with Ian Robinson and Jim Mills. Peter’s Pies was sold for £75 million in 1988, after growing to £105 million and £70 million in sales. The brothers founded Thomas Bailey Investments in 1992 with former Cardiff Rugby supporter and Life supporter Paul Bailey.
The three owned Cardiff, Belfast, Orlando Sandford, Stockholm Skavsta, and Luton airports and over 80 airports via TBI. Peter founded Atlantic Property Developments, one of Wales’ best real estate enterprises with a large UK portfolio of commercial properties.
His involvement with Festival Parks Europe Ltd., which developed numerous major integrated leisure and retail complexes in Scandinavia and Mallorca, shows his commercial skills.
