A young woman, Shelia, was tragically killed on July 6, 2012. She and her high school closest friend Rachel Shoaf killed 16-year-old Skylar Neese. On September 4, 2013, West Virginia authorities identified Shelia as the second suspect, bringing the case to light.
A grand jury charged her with kidnapping, first-degree murder, and conspiracy to kill on September 6, 2013. She pled guilty to first-degree murder alongside prosecutors when the evidence showed she killed Skylar. Shelia also serves her time at Mason County’s Lakin Correctional Center. Her co-defendant Rachel Shoaf is also in prison.

The convicted killer Shelia is the daughter of Tara Clendenen and Greg Eddy. She was an only child born in Blacksville, West Virginia, on September 28, 1995. Shelia Eddy’s parents divorced in 2000. In October 2010, Tara and Jim Clendenen moved to Morgantown, West Virginia, after their divorce.
At this point, she attended University High School. Tragically, she and her companions murdered Nesse in July 2012. Her mother Tara filed a motion in Monongalia County Circuit Court declaring her innocence and not being responsible for the murder.
Mary Neese, the victim’s mother, sued Rachel Shoaf, Shelia, Patricia, Tara, and others in 2014. Tara claimed she was not culpable since she did not manage her daughter Shelia while she was at the Shoaf home the night of the murder. Clendenen said that Mary Neese has declared on social media that she does not blame Eddy’s parents for her behavior.
Shelia Eddy Religion & Ethnicity
Eddy’s religion and ethnicity are unknown. While her personal life is unclear, her murder case has received attention. Skylar Neese, a high school classmate of Eddy and Rachel Shoaf, was brutally attacked by her alleged pals.
Neese’s corpse was found in Wayne Township, Greene County, Pennsylvania, in January 2013. Shoaf admitted to murdering Neese in December 2012. She described a terrifying plot she directed with Shelia.
Shoaf told court papers that she and her buddy got Neese into Eddy’s car and drove to Pennsylvania to socialize. Shoaf and Eddy fatally stabbed Skylar at a preset time. They then unsuccessfully tried to bury her body behind branches in a ditch. Seven months later, Shoaf confessed, bringing authorities to return to the crime scene to collect Neese’s remains.
Shelia Eddy Siblings
Shelia Eddy’s parents had one child. She has no siblings. Shelia and her best friend Rachel suffered the consequences of their wicked conduct. She pled guilty to first-degree murder on January 24, 2014. Life in jail with release after 15 years was her punishment.
However, her companion Rachel pled guilty to second-degree murder on May 1, 2013. She was imprisoned for 30 years with parole eligibility after 10 years. The investigation breakthrough came when Shoaf confessed to arranging Skylar’s murder with Eddy. They killed Nesse because they didn’t like her and didn’t want to be friends.
