Emile Morel, the Beyond Good, and Evil 2 creative director is a skilled Ubisoft game designer. At the age of forty, he passed dead.
The late designer had a strong commitment to his work. With Eden Games, he started his career.
Morel worked as a level and game designer at Eden Games during the pre-production of Alone in the Dark for the PC and Xbox 360.
Emile was a senior game designer for Eden Games in the late 1990s. He helped with the development of Test Drive Unlimited and Alone in the Dark: Inferno, the PlayStation 3 version of the game.
After joining Ubisoft in 2009, the skilled designer worked on Rayman Legends and Rayman Fiesta Run.
After Jean-Marc Geffroy departed the project, which has been in production for more than 15 years, he was promoted to associate creative director and eventually took over as the game’s creative director.
According to PG Gamer, Morel was elevated to creative director of Beyond Good and Evil 2 as a result of a reorganization at game developer Ubisoft Montpellier spurred on by a labor investigation into high levels of burnout and sick leave at the studio.

Greg Hermittant, a producer at Ubisoft Montpellier, said that Morel had been such a wonderful and caring collaborator for all of his time at Ubisoft in his eulogy.
The Ubisoft Montpellier producer said in a letter of thanks for the opportunity to collaborate with Emile on so many projects, “Even through the difficult times, you(Morel) always remained the caring and supportive person you were with your beautiful positive mind.”
“But the most important thing is the amazing times we shared,” Hermittant said. Without a doubt, my fondest memory is from Rayman Legends.
Our inside jokes and impersonations will be missed. Outside of Good and Evil, you will be missed. We will continue your efforts, rest assured,” Hermittant said.
