The rapper was inducted into the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2016 as part of N.W.A. Ice Cube wrote Dr. Dre’s and most of Eazy-E’s rhymes on Straight Outta Compton as N.W.A’s main rapper.

The famed rapper has three siblings. His brothers are Clyde Ray Jackson and Pat Jackson, while his half-sister Beverly Jean Brown is older. O’Shea’s older brother is Clyde Ray Jackson. Cube credits his elder brother for his stage moniker. Clyde joked about freezing him till he turned into an ice cube as a toddler, hence the appellation Ice Cube.
Clyde and his wife live in Los Angeles and are Democrats. Beverly Jean Brown is the rapper’s older sister. She was 22 when her husband killed her. Ice Cube was 12 years old. Beverly’s 27-year-old husband, Carl Clifford Brown, reportedly took her prisoner and locked themselves in their South Central home after a domestic disagreement.
