Mullen is widely known as the co-founder and percussionist of the musical band U2. Sunday Bloody Sunday, Pride (In the Name of Love), Where the Streets Have No Name, Zoo Station, Mysterious Ways, and City of Blinding Lights are a few of the U2 compositions for which he is best known.
Later, Mullen Jr. founded U2, formerly known as the Larry Mullen Band, with Paul “Bono” Hewson, David “The Edge,” his brother Dik Evans, Adam Clayton, and Mullen’s associates Ivan McCormick and Peter Martin. This marked the beginning of the meteoric ascent to prominence of Mullen Jr.
Before settling on the current configuration of Bono, The Edge, Clayton, and Mullen Jr., the group’s moniker and personnel changed.
