The athlete’s father, Matthew James Timme, was a basketball player at Southern Methodist University during his collegiate career. He also attended Reeths-Puffer High School in Muskegon, Michigan, and briefly played professionally in Europe.
Matt obtained a bachelor’s degree in psychology from SMU and began working as an indirect account manager at Sprint PCS following graduation. From 2004 until 2014, he worked at Zimmer Biomet for 13 years, progressing from territory sales manager to regional sales manager.
Afterward, Andrew’s father had positions as a regional sales manager for Orion Energy Systems and a district sales manager for Patterson Dental from 2016 to 2017. Matt Timme has been employed with Dallas, Texas-based OraPharma Inc. as a regional sales manager since January 2017.
Timme’s mother, Megan, was a Stephen F. Austin State University tennis player. In addition to her bachelor’s degree in elementary education and teaching, she also has a master’s degree in educational leadership and administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce.

Megan was employed by Richardson ISD for more than 15 years. She started with Region 10 ESC in 2012 as a consultant and subsequently moved up to program coordinator.

His mother met her husband, Matt, while playing tennis at Stephen F. Austin State University. Not shortly after returning from Europe, he wed Megan.
