A stabbing incident in New Haven on Saturday resulted in the death of 49-year-old Robert Franklin. After 1:30 p.m., New Haven Police received many distress calls about an unconscious guy with significant stab wounds near Lloyd and Exchange Streets. Franklin battled for his life at Yale-New Haven Hospital but died.
As the word spread, New Haven Police Captain Rose Dell pledged to solve the crime. Detectives from the Investigative Services Division immediately began investigating what caused this terrible violence. The neighborhood was devastated by the death of a neighbor, and the police begged anybody with knowledge to come forward.
