Maggie Murdaugh’s parents, Terry and Kennedy Branstetter have been in the news since the terrible event.
Terry is a well-known lawyer in South Carolina who practices at Peters Murdaugh Parker Eltzroth & Detrick (PMPED), the legal practice owned by the Murdaugh family. Kennedy, on the other hand, is a homemaker who brought up their kids and is well-known in the neighborhood for her charity endeavors.
Marian, Maggie, and Paul are their three children together, and they have been married for more than thirty years. The family was well-known in the neighborhood and well-known for their generosity and involvement in numerous nonprofit groups.
Terry and Kennedy Branstetter have mostly avoided the spotlight since the sad event, choosing to grieve in private. Through remarks they published, they thanked the community for the outpouring of support they received.
Marian Proctor: The Sister of Maggie Murdaugh?
Marian Proctor is the daughter of Terry and Kennedy Branstetter and the younger sister of Maggie Murdaugh.
Proctor is a recent University of South Carolina graduate who plans to work in marketing.
Marian has chosen to avoid the spotlight and has avoided being in the public glare since the tragedy. She did, however, just testify in the case, providing some further information on the incident’s circumstances.
Marian’s testimony has prompted numerous inquiries concerning the case, especially in relation to the involvement of her father, Alex Murdaugh. At the time of the occurrence, Alex was a well-known lawyer in the community and was being investigated for crimes.
Details of Marian Proctor’s Testimony Examined
Marian Proctor stated in her testimony that she was present at the family’s hunting lodge the evening of the incident.
She said she heard gunshots and went outside to look for herself. There, she discovered the death of her brother and mother. She was terrified at first, thinking the gunman might still be on the property. She did, however, swiftly recognize that the gunman had left and dialed 911.
A partial chronology of that evening’s events was given by Marian’s testimony. She said that her father had contacted her to ask her to check on her mother and brother even though he was not present at the lodge during the incident.

Marian also disclosed that earlier in the day, she had witnessed her brother Paul Murdaugh carrying a gun, which he claimed to have for defense.
