Crystal Nowland: Who Is She?

Charlie Nowland’s mother was taken into custody and accused of manslaughter.

Charlie Nowland, the six-year-old’s killer, has charged Crystal Nowland, her mother, with manslaughter.

Crystal is a mother who failed to fulfill her parental duties and let her young, naive daughter to pass away.

Charlie was found unconscious in her family’s Munno Para, Adelaide, home in July of last year. After being sent to Lyell McEwin Hospital, her demise was verified.

Charlie’s mother, Crystal Nowland, cried out, “Charlie’s not breathing!” around one in the morning.

The mother of six was not charged after a thorough investigation by the police, but on Wednesday morning, she was escorted out of her home by detectives.

Charges against Ms. Nowland included four charges of criminal negligence and manslaughter for the alleged mistreatment of her four children, ages eight to fourteen.

Police began looking into the circumstances surrounding the little girl’s death because they thought that criminal negligence was the cause of her death.

Police said that Crystal had been charged with manslaughter early on Wednesday morning. She is also charged with criminal negligence in relation to four more children who remain anonymous.

Charlie had a significant autoimmune disorder called celiac disease, which was identified many months after her death and may have had a role in her fate.

Ms. Nowland had said before her death that she was ignorant about Charlie’s celiac condition. The coroner also told her that the small girl had a hereditary heart problem.

Charlie Nowland’s mother is scheduled to appear in Adelaide Magistrates Court on Wednesday. Three people—including Ms. Crystal Nowland—were each accused of manslaughter in three different cases of purported negligence.

Let’s now reveal the identity of the other two people who have been detained and accused of manslaughter under the next subsection.

Jenni Wilmott and Shane Wanganeen: Two Parents Arrested in Various Manslaughter Cases

In addition to Crystal Nowland, two other South Australian parents have also been taken into custody after an unparalleled probe into claims of child abuse.

Similarly, in February 2022, seven-year-old Makai Wanganeen was brought to the hospital in severe condition.

After being taken to the Women’s and Children’s Hospital in Adelaide, the child was transferred to Lyell McEwin Hospital and died there the same day.

A post-mortem revealed that the seven-year-old’s death was caused by “several serious health issues.” Shane Wangannen has been detained and charged in relation to the purported murder of his son Makai.

In addition, 15-year-old Jasmine Wilmott passed away in October 2018, and Jenni Wilmott, the mother of that kid, was also accused of manslaughter in relation to that event.

Despite being made against Jenni Wilmott in 2020, the criminal negligence charges against her were dropped in 2021. The cops have now taken her into custody once again after gathering further evidence.

Wilmott and Wangannen will appear in court on Thursday. According to Assistant Commissioner John Venditto, the police have obtained forensic, financial, physical, and expert evidence. There is no connection between any of the incidents and the victims.
