On September 21, 2019, Carl went away itoBel Air North, Maryland. When he passed away, he was only 44 years old. According to a Maryland Department of Health spokesman, Ruiz passed away from atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease, as reported by TMZ. The newspaper added that there was no foul play and that his death was natural.
Many food fans as well as the food world were saddened by his unexpected passing. Guy Fieri, a close friend, posted a heartfelt tribute on Instagram.

Carl was hanging out with his buddies in Maryland, not far from Baltimore, according to his brother George Ruiz, when he unexpectedly passed away.
