The Ogwen Valley Mountain Rescue searched for the teens’ vehicle on Monday as well, but they were unable to locate it.
Chris Lloyd, the chairman of the rescue team, said: “We got a call early this afternoon from North Wales Police. Our first objective was to look for any indications that they were on the mountain.
“Three or two teams were sent to each parking lot. The car isn’t here. We shall not stop looking for it; we are still actively searching for it. There’s no official search area.
Crystal Owen, Harvey’s mother, told the BBC that she was going to North Wales in order to be closer to the search and rescue operation.
Ms. Owen said she didn’t know her kid had gone camping and that she was desperate to find out more.
“If I had known where he was going, I wouldn’t have allowed him given the winter weather conditions,” the lady said.
