The Great Sakuya is the daughter of Keiji’s gimmick ‘The Great Muta’ in the Pro Wrestling NOAH storyline. To be clear, they are not a real-life father and daughter. She is a female wrestler who fought as Riko Kawahata in Marvelous That’s Women Pro Wrestling. She was born in Tokyo, Japan, on July 28, 1999, and will be 24 in 2024.
Kawhata made her wrestling debut in 2018 as Great Sakuya, and her hallmark move is the Moonsault Press. She stands 5’3″ tall and weighs 121 pounds (55 kg). In addition, unlike her NOAH story father, she does not have a Wikipedia page. So, how did she earn the moniker “The Great Sakuya”?
Muto appeared in NOAH on an irregular basis after retiring from wrestling in February 2023. To carry on his ring character’s legacy, he introduced The Great Sakuya, his gimmick’s daughter. On November 13, 2023, he reappeared in NOAH with a background of how Sakuya became his daughter.

The Great Sakuya Made Her NOAH Debut
Sakuya attended the Nagisa Nozaki vs. Miyuki Takase fight on an episode of NOAH Monday Magic on November 27, 2023. She then misted Takase and shook hands with Nozaki, hinting at their upcoming tag team match. On January 2, 2024, she made her debut alongside Nozaki in the NOAH The New Year 2024 tag team event against Haruka Umesaki and Miyuki Takase.
The fight was called off, however, when the Great Sakuya flung a chair at the referee. Muta’s signature moonsault was demonstrated, and the ensuing beatdown left blood all around the ring.
Who Is the Real Daughter of Great Muta?
Keiji Muto, also known as The Great Muta, is a dedicated husband and father of two children with his wife, Hisae Ashida, outside of the ring. The couple married in 1992 and had two children: a boy (name withheld) in 1996 and a girl, Ari, in 2000. Muto’s true daughter, Ari Muto, is a singer-songwriter and actor.
She goes by the stage name Mua and frequently wears a half mask that resembles The Great Muta. Even though she did not follow a wrestling career like her father, she is a tremendous fan of him. In 2014, she made a one-time appearance for Wrestle-1. Ari’s Instagram handle is @i_am_muuuua, and she posts pictures of herself and her family.
