Similar to this, Ceslie’s nationality is American despite her mixed ethnicity. Regarding her parents, Ceslie is the granddaughter of Evangeline Leinani Keale Kamakawiwo’ole and Henry Kaleialoha Naniwa Kamakawiwo’ole Jr.
The father of AD Kamakawiwo’ole was a prosperous musician.
Dad of Ceslie-Ann Kamakawiwo’ole Israel Kamakawiwo’ole, better known by his stage name Bruddah Iz/IZ, was born in Honolulu, Hawaii Territory, on May 20, 1959.
After relocating to Mākaha with his family, he got to know Jerome Koko, Sam Gray, and Louis Kauakahi. The five of them, together with his brother Skippy, established a group and called themselves the Makaha Sons of Ni’ihau. The band played a blend of traditional and modern music.
In addition, the group recorded No Kristo and put out further albums, such as Mahalo Ke Akua, Makaha Sons of NiŁihau, Keala, HoŻoluana, and Kahea O Keale.
The album Puana Hou Me Ke Aloha from 1984 marked their breakthrough. Unfortunately, Ceslie’s father quit making music, and her uncle Skippy died of a heart attack at the age of 28.
His debut solo album, Ka’Ano’i, didn’t come out until 1990. It went on to win honors for Male Vocalist of the Year and Contemporary Album of the Year. Similarly, in 1993, he put out the album Facing Future, which peaked at No. 25 on the Billboard magazine chart.
In addition, Ceslie-Ann’s father received numerous honors, such as a HARA prize at the Annual Nā Hōkū Hanohano awards, among many others.
Israel Kamakawiwo’ole, her father, died at the age of 38.
The musician had struggled with obesity since he was a little child. He once weighed 757 pounds, or around 343 kilograms, and stood 6 feet 2 inches tall. In a similar vein, he was forced to attend the hospital frequently due to his enormous weight. The physicians stated that Celise-Ann’s father had suffered from long-term health concerns, such as heart and breathing difficulties.

Similarly, a number of fans came together to honor Kamakawiwo’ole on September 20, 2003. In the Waianae Neighborhood Community Center in O’ahu, there is a bronze statue of him that was created by them.
The same year that Ceslie-Ann Kamakawiwo’ole’s uncle Skippy passed away, her parents got married.
Ann’s parents were much in love with each other and were childhood sweethearts. In late 1982, the former couple made the decision to tie the knot. Their closest friends and relatives attended the low-key ceremony that served as their wedding. Ironically, Skippy, Israel’s bandmate and older brother, passed away in the same year.
Their romance was described as being no less than a fairytale up until Ceslie’s father passed away. Ceslie’s mother clarified that her love for her husband was unconditional in an interview with the Honolulu Advertiser. She added that the musician used to often buy her roses before he was well-known or wealthy.
