The German producer was the group’s primary songwriter during the recording of a series of successes, including Daddy Cool and the Christmas hit Mary’s Boy Child, which the group formed in 1976. Later, he established Milli Vanilli, but his admission that the vocalists lip-synced incited an uproar.

The German producer was the group’s primary songwriter during the recording of a series of disco successes, including Daddy Cool, Rasputin, and a popular remake of the Christmas song Mary’s Boy Child. The group was founded in 1976.

Eventually, he established the pop duo Milli Vanilli and collaborated with such musical luminaries as Stevie Wonder and Meat Loaf.

Frank Farian died at his residence in Miami, according to a statement issued Tuesday by his agency on his family’s behalf.

Liz Mitchell, an original member of Boney M, published a Facebook post in which she paid tribute to Farian.

“Perhaps Frank is at ease. She wrote,

“Our work was blessed and beneficial to those who had the honor of hearing it.”

“By uniting and sharing under a star, we achieved an elevation that surpassed our wildest expectations.” I congratulate you on the effort that we have invested in our work. “Perish with dignity, Frank Farian.”

Franz Reuther Farian, who was born in Kirn, Germany, in 1941, began his musical career as a vocalist before focusing on production.

In 1974, Frank Farian initially established Boney M as a pseudonym to represent his personal endeavors. Under this moniker, he released the dance track Baby Do You Want To Bump.

Following the song’s triumph in Belgium and the Netherlands, Frank Farian endeavored to assemble the future Boney M, which consisted of Marcia Barrett, Mitchell, Maizie Williams, Bobby Farrell, and Maizie Williams.

Daddy Cool, the title track of their debut album, peaked at number six on the UK charts and achieved number-one single status in Switzerland, Sweden, Norway, Spain, France, and Austria.

Ma Baker and Rasputin both peaked at number two in the United Kingdom, while a cover of Rivers Of Babylon and a double A-side with Brown Girl In The Ring both peaked at number one. 1978 saw Mary’s Boy Child reach Christmas number one.

In the late 1980s, the German hip-hop group Milli Vanilli, comprised of Fab Morvan and Rob Pilatus, achieved additional success with the single Girl You Know It’s True.

In 1990, however, Frank Farian and the group were embroiled in a lip-syncing scandal when he admitted that neither member had performed on their albums; this admission resulted in the revocation of their Grammy Award for Best New Artist.

Throughout his tenure, Frank Farian is estimated to have sold more than 850 million records and obtained 800 gold and platinum certifications.
