In Waterloo, Iowa, in February 1966, Michael was born to his mother Marlynn Myers and father John Wayne Gacy. He will be 56 years old in 2022.
In 1967, a year after his birth, his mother gave birth to his younger sister, Christine Gacy. Later, under the supervision of their mother Marlynn, the brother-sister pair with a one-year age difference grew up together.
In addition, Michael’s mother is of Caucasian ancestry, but his father is of Danish and Polish background. Furthermore, he is an American citizen.
The Marriage and Divorce of Michael Gacy’s Parents: His Father Took The Criminal Path
When he and his mother, Marlynn, first met in March 1964, they were both in their 20s. Their first encounter occurred while they were coworkers at the Springfield, Illinois, apparel company. As soon as the two fell in love, Michael’s father proposed to Marlynn, his future bride.
The former couple also tied the knot in September 1964, just six months after they initially met. The newlyweds began a lovely family life together after relocating to Waterloo, Iowa, after their wedding.
But after a few years, John experimented with being a criminal. John was initially found guilty in August 1967 of having sexually assaulted Donald Voorhees, a fifteen-year-old kid.
Despite Gacy’s denial of all charges against him, he was arrested and given a jail sentence in December 1968 as a result of a complaint Donald’s father had made against him. Subsequently, all of the accusations caused the lovely family of four to disintegrate, as his wife filed for and was granted a divorce from him in court on September 18, 1969. Following a sex offense charge, John was sentenced to ten years in jail, and Marlynn was granted full custody of her children.

Michael received the death penalty for all of his horrible deeds. He was brought to the Stateville Correctional Center for execution on May 9, 1994, by a gang with authority. A fatal injection was used to carry out his execution. His corpse was cremated and his brain was extracted following his death.

Conversely, John, his father, had a prosperous job prior to his criminal activity. He started out in the shoe industry as a salesperson and worked his way up to vice president. He then went on to work at KFC as a manager. John also purchased Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) restaurants in Waterloo, Iowa, after working there for a while.
But despite operating his restaurant profitably, he was arrested and given a jail sentence for abusing a small child sexually. Michael’s father started a part-time construction company called PDM, which stands for Painting, Decorating, and Maintenance, after he was released from prison on parole.
