Her mother, Melila Howell, believes the prize will serve as a fresh motivator for knowledge.

She said, “Someone has some idea of what would’ve happened,” suggesting that someone in the area where we live must know something.

She asserted that Ms. Howell’s daughter’s acquaintances and relatives required an explanation.

Tell us, please, please. The woman said her father died before learning what had happened to her, and her three brothers are unaware of what had happened to her. People are still in the dark regarding Rose Howell’s disappearance case after all these years.

Rose Howell’s 2024 Missing Update: Has She Been Found?

Evidence given during a coronial inquest held in 2012 under the supervision of Magistrate P. A. MacMahon, the deputy state coroner, revealed that the young girl had been planning her 19th birthday party and had hitched to Bellingen on the day she disappeared.

Rose’s mother claimed it was common for her daughter to stay with friends in Bellingen, but two days after Rose missed an appointment, she filed a missing person’s report.

At the time of her kidnapping, Rose was described as being of Caucasian descent, with an olive complexion, hazel eyes, and short, dark hair worn in a mohawk. She was also said to be between 160 and 165 centimeters tall.

Magistrate MacMahon stated that William Robb, en route to his daughter’s dance recital, saw Rose Howell strolling along Perrys Road in Repton in 2012. That was the last time Rose Howell was seen alive.

Based on the evidence offered, the magistrate determined Rose Howell had died on the balance of probability, but was unable to determine the precise cause of death.

Numerous locals provided testimony to the investigation, including one former classmate from Toormina High School who said they had seen Ms. Howell after April 11.

Shaylee Smith, who was in the same year as Ms. Howell, saw her twice on Monday, May 5, 2003, at Coffs Harbour, and possibly again a few days later.

On the other hand, Magistrate MacMahon declared that he was certain Ms. Smith was misled.

A Financial Reward Is Offered For Information About Her Absence

The mother of a teenage girl who vanished a few days before turning 19 more than 20 years ago says she still has hope that her daughter will “reappear.”

The NSW Police Force and Government are offering a reward of $750,000 for information leading to the discovery of Rose Howell’s whereabouts over two decades ago in the northern part of the state.

On Friday, April 11, 2003, at around 6:15 p.m., Rose Howell, who was eighteen at the time, was last seen leaving her home in Bundagen, which is situated roughly 25 kilometers south of Coffs Harbour, along Perry’s Road in Repton.

Rose frequently stayed overnight at the homes of her friends, and her mother was aware that she intended to meet up with pals in Bellingen.

On April 13, 2003, Rose missed her 11 a.m. meeting with her mother and was reported missing to the police.

In December 2012, a coronial investigation found that Ms. Howell had definitely died, but it was unclear when, where, or exactly what caused her to pass away.
