In 1994, the Princeton School of Public and International Affairs awarded her a B.A. Strassel obtained a position at The Wall Street Journal right away after graduating.
In addition to serving as a staff writer covering technology for The Wall Street Journal in London from 1996 to 1999, Strassel served as a news assistant for the European edition of the newspaper in Brussels from 1994 to 1996.
In 1999, she moved to New York to cover real estate, and then she worked on the editorial page as an assistant features editor.
She became a senior editorial writer on The Wall Street Journal’s editorial board in 2005. In 2007, she began writing for The Wall Street Journal’s venerable “Potomac Watch” feature.
Just before the November 2020 election, Strassel disseminated claims made on Joe Biden and his son Hunter Biden in an editorial piece for the Wall Street Journal.
The newspaper’s reporting section disputed Strassel’s claims a few hours later. When Joe Biden defeated Donald Trump in the 2020 presidential election, Strassel claimed that there were anomalies in the voting process.
In his false remarks regarding the election, Strassel falsely claimed that Wisconsin’s voter turnout for the election in November 2020 was “not feasible.”
