Kylian Mbappe has finally agreed to move to Real Madrid on a free transfer after the French international parted ways with PSG. The 25-year-old PSG’s top goal scorer with 256 goals in 308 matches has moved to Bernabeu on a five-year deal earning €15m (£12. 8m) per year after tax.
He will be paid £85m signing on fee from Real, which is the biggest in the club’s history and the cost will be paid in phases over the tenure of the contract.
This comes just two days after Ancelotti’s side clinched the Champions League trophy for the 15th time, the same as also securing the La Liga League title.
A one-line statement from the European champions announcing Mbappe’s arrival said: “Real Madrid CF and Kylian Mbappe have agreed on the terms of the transfer, which means this footballer will be a Real Madrid player for the next five years.”
Kylian Mbappe then took to his social media pages to share pictures of him as a child wearing a Real Madrid jersey to show how much the move meant to him.
He said: It is not only a dream come true but also a great honor for me. Becoming a member of the wanted club Real Madrid was a joyful and thrilling moment in my life.
“It is impossible to describe how happy I am at the moment. I am looking forward to seeing you, Madridistas, and thank you for the incredible support. Hala Madrid.”
The Spanish giants have been showing their interest in Mbappe for quite some time now and they attempted to secure the forward in the summer of 2022 but the forward put pen to paper to a new two-year deal at the Parc des Princes.
But Kylian Mbappe ignored the option of a one-year contract renewal in PSG that enabled him to transfer for free this summer, only six years after joining the French side for £166m from AS Monaco.
The latest loss of Mbappe which he declared last month stands to free at least €220m (£187. 5m) of gross cost to PSG.

It seems that things could not be much better for Real Madrid at this particular time. This is the same team that has won the LLa Liga Champions League for the 15th time, and now, it is just a Monday to casually boast about signing Kylian Mbappe’. There is some great news for these two Spanish giants over a few days.
It is rather a scary scenario for the remaining teams in Europe and those that aim to defeat the dominant force of Real Madrid. Well, speaking of France, it was expected for a while. That is when there had to be a conclusion to this saga it had dragged on when people thought it could not drag any further.
“The first time there was disappointment at PSG when Mbappe disclosed he wanted to join Real Madrid.” But there is also an understanding that it was the best decision for the player, maybe for the club and even the league in some cases. Ligue 1 can go solo and be alone, without being associated with Mbappe. We must wait and see what the next couple of years have in store.
Mbappe generally departs France with accomplishing as much as he could be expected in club football. Not only that, PSG, it was at Monaco where he established himself and had a decent run in the Champions League with the side. What he has done for himself at PSG, and he records that he has set it is very hard for any other person to emulate. Some people watch him go and they wish him the best while others are left to ponder how it all ended and they include the PSG leadership.
‘In terms of the name, this is as big as it gets in terms of impact alongside Zinedine Zidane who also won the Ballon d’Or before moving to Real.’ Mbappe hasn’t done that so he’s going there to win that. Although there is no direct transfer fee involved in this move, there is a lot of money aspect of what he will be paid. It can prove lucrative for Real Madrid, there is much for him to get his teeth into. That’s the club to be in club football at the moment.
‘It is quite remarkable what they achieved this season, given the injuries they had – Courtois, Militao, Alaba. To have those guys coming back to the squad, will be like having new signings join the team. Arda Guler was missing a significant portion of the campaign. Then there is Endrick above Mbappe, that is, six new players.
“There is the tearful farewell of Toni Kroos, but Luka Modric is staying on so it keeps the technical brilliance and the experience in midfield,” said Carr. “But it is frightening that Real Madrid’s dominance over the last five to ten years might not be ending. It might be warming up with the arrival of Mbappe.”
Football Transfer News of Mbappe to Real Madrid which was inevitable
This is a difficult question to answer; however, there is a general sense that now it is over, which is a somewhat positive sentiment. They are slowly and gradually coming closer and perhaps the marriage between Mbappe and Real Madrid is a happy one.
“This saga has rumbled on for so long now that every single summer it was all about: This is the question that has been frequently asked ‘Here we go again, is this finally the summer he is going to come?’
It turned out to be no surprise that everyone saw Mbappe heading to Real Madrid. That is why it was just a matter of time before it happened.
Real Madrid had been pursuing him for so many years, it started as young as 11 years of age when he went to the club for a trial for the U12s team. He never remained there because his parents thought it was best for him to grow up in France.
“If the two teams were to meet in the quarter-finals of the Champions League, that was the real first time they came in for him when he was at Monaco.” It did not turn out that way as PSG entered the scene and stole the show by grabbing the deal. It is often described as having been in a state of being on and off for at least the last seven years. We are serious about it this time.
However, there is also a little bit of concern over this deal because it was such a shocker in the year 2022 when Real genuinely believed that he was coming, but he refused to join them and extend his contract in Paris.
“Of course, it left a lot of Madridistas very broken-hearted, disappointed, and angry – even people at the club as well.”
‘This could be another sign that the dominance of Real Madrid could be running for some time’
Where will Kylian Mbappe be positioned in the Real Madrid team?
In the end, it will all depend on what Carlo Ancelotti wants to do in terms of tactics. Yes, there are certain hierarchies but obviously, you are going to select the best player that you have at your disposal.
‘Let’s operate on the assumption that Ancelotti is going to continue with a 4-4-2 formation next year and that Jude Bellingham will play at the tip of the diamond in midfield but Bellingham can go where he wants in the team.”
That means; Vinicius and Mbappe begin the match in a two-man strike force like how Vinicius and Rodrygo have played in this campaign.
To conclude, it may be argued that Vinicius has personally annexed the position of the left-hand side. That is his best position [While the sentence does not have a reflexive meaning, this translation preserves the present simple tense interpreted by Mariana as the speaker’s opinion about the given position and the use of the pronoun ‘his’ referring to a specific person]. Rodrygo is also more versatile than Gabrielu – he is comfortable playing in the right, left, or an attacking midfield position.
”There are many possibilities. For instance, he might decide to play 4-3-3 with Mbappe in the center and Vinicius and Rodrygo out wide. But then he would have to bench a midfielder, and, as it is apparent, Real Madrid has tons of talent in that position. This is not likely to happen very frequently.”
