Tyrann Devine Mathieu was born on May 13, 1992, in New Orleans, Louisiana, and grew up with all of his other family members except his real parents. When his grandfather died, he was adopted by his uncle Tyrone Mathieu and aunt Sheila Mathieu after being raised by his grandparents.

EMPLOYMENT IN Tyrann Mathieu has committed to play football at Louisiana State University. He was a collegiate football player for two seasons (2010-2011), collecting the Cotton Bowl Classic’s Most Outstanding Defensive Player title as well as the SEC Championship Game’s Most Valuable Player honor.
His near-perfect start, however, was undone when he was suspended for breaking LSU’s drug policy on October 19, 2011. Despite his 1.75m height, he was nominated for the Heisman Trophy for his endurance on the field against larger opponents.
