Rapper DDG from the United States has opened up about his protracted union with Halle Bailey. In a recent interview with The Breakfast Club, the 25-year-old actor gushed about his 22-year-old fiancée and admitted that she inspires him more than anybody else.
She is the most inspirational person I’ve ever met. I’m noticing odd things. I have never before encountered anything like this.
When they were spotted together during an Usher gig in January 2022, DDG and Halle Bailey sparked dating rumors. Two months later, in March, they made their relationship public on Instagram.

Bailey described how she first encountered the rapper when he broke into her DMS in an interview with Essence Magazine for their cover story for the September/October issue.
She remarked:
“I used to watch YouTube as a kid, and the young Black makers always made me happy. He was a part of them. He had utterly slipped my mind. But as soon as I learned that he was putting out music, I found myself pulled to this specific tune. By happenstance, he messaged me, and the rest is history.”
DDG recently discussed his successful intrusion into Bailey’s communications—whom he jokingly refers to as his “wife”—with The Breakfast Club. Elon Musk asserted that he initiated contact with her after seeing her tweet about one of his favorite songs, 50 Cent’s Many Men. They connected right away because they both loved music.

After making their relationship official on Instagram, the couple attended several public events together, including the BET Awards on June 26, 2022.
Halle Bailey is getting ready to make her live-action film debut with The Little Mermaid. The release date for the Rob Marshall-helmed Disney film, which also stars Jonah Hauer-King, Melissa McCarthy, Javier Bardem, Noma Dumezweni, and others, is slated for May 26, 2023.
DDG released a music video for his single Remember Me on October 31, 2022. It’s Not Me, It’s You, his most recent album, contains the song. DDG, also known as Darryl Dwayne Granberry Jr., is a native of Pontiac, Michigan.
He began his singing career in 2014 on YouTube, where he soon rose to fame. After signing with Epic Records in 2018, DDG co-founded his recording label, Zooted Music, in 2020. His 2020 single, Moonwalking in Calabasas, premiered on the Billboard Hot 100 at position 82.
