Emmy Medders recently revealed the details of her relationship with Chase Chrisley. The former made an appearance on Savannah Chrisley’s Unlocked podcast on Wednesday, December 27, 2022.
She spoke about her relationship with Chrisley Knows Best actor Chase, as well as what led to their October 2022 engagement. Chase proposed to Emmy at Tennessee’s First Horizon Baseball Stadium on October 5, 2022.
To make things even more memorable, he rented out the 12,000-seat stadium, which had 175,000 rose petals strewn across the pitch in the shape of a heart. Emmy told PEOPLE at the time that she was surprised and had “no idea it was happening.”
Emmy told Savannah on the podcast:
“We started talking right before COVID arrived. It was on and off, and then we were doing really well, and then we had a huge split where we didn’t communicate for like two months, though it was more like two weeks. It felt like two months to me.”
She also stated that their relationship has been wonderful since they reconnected, following which Chase proposed.

On the Unlocked podcast, the future sisters discussed their friendship. Savannah admitted that she wasn’t always on good terms with Emmy, owing to a difficult period in their relationship. According to the Chrisley Knows Best star, the two women got into a heated argument while filming Growing Up Chrisley in Miami, which was cut from the final program.
Savannah stated:
“This is not to say Emmy and I have a great relationship.”
Emmy’s response was as follows:
“However, there is no hatred. I know we’re not sisters yet, but family feuds are unavoidable.”
Although the sisters admitted that it wasn’t their only disagreement, they both insisted that Chase was at the heart of everything.
A summary of Chase and Emmy’s dating history
The Chrisley Knows Best actors’ relationship has had many ups and downs, including a temporary split in 2021. Everything is fine now because Chase proposed to Emmy in October 2022. Chase announced his relationship with Emmy in the summer of 2020.
They were already good friends and had known each other for a long time. Chrisley Knows Best, on the other hand, reported significant conflict between the two in the spring of 2021. Emmy confronted her boyfriend, accusing him of “standing her up” so he could spend time with his friends.
Chase, for example, claimed that her constant calling and texting, while he was out with his friends, made him feel suffocated. When season 3 of the show premiered in the summer of 2021, things appeared to be going well between the two, with Chase openly considering marrying Emmy.
The Chrisley Knows Best actor told Life & Style in August 2021 that he was “single” after “ping-ponging” with Emmy for a few months. In April 2022, however, she posted an Instagram photo with Chase, implying that they were back together.
Chase then announced in May 2022 that the couple had rekindled their love by publishing a series of photos of them on a romantic trip. In October 2022, they announced their engagement on social media. Chase captioned a photo of their proposal:
“I am the luckiest man on the planet; to be able to call you my forever is a gift from God. You are the sun when it is dark, and the rain when it is dry. I adore you more than life itself, and I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with you! To you, my darling! Thank you for agreeing to take me for the rest of my life!!”
In October 2022, the couple told PEOPLE that they hadn’t started planning their wedding yet but had decided on a destination, which would be Charleston. Todd and Julie Chrisley were sentenced to prison in November 2022 for a variety of financial crimes, so their wedding day may not be as happy as their proposal.
