Nick Gehlfuss has been in the business for a long time. His role as Dr. Will Halstead on Chicago Med has earned him a devoted fan base since 2015. These admirers are always eager to learn more about his personal life.
Gehlfuss, on the other hand, is notorious for remaining silent. His Instagram is primarily about his work. His wife, Lilian Matsuda, is more open about a few aspects of their family life than her husband.

Although Gehlfuss and Matsuda are cautious about what they post on the internet, they do share some details about their personal lives. The couple is expecting a child in late 2021, according to her Instagram. On April 14, 2021, Matsuda announced her pregnancy for the first time. She took to Instagram to post a mirror selfie of her pregnant belly, which was already quite large. They then went to a live Colombus Symphony performance in June, which she documented on social media by dedicating the day to their soon-to-be-born child.
“I hope you enjoyed your first live performance,” she said to her child, whom she addressed as Bebe. We’re not sure if this was the baby’s intended name or a nickname given to him by his parents. By mid-December, their child had arrived. On December 14, 2021, she paid tribute to her mother, saying, “I believe my baby would laugh when you laugh.”
“I’ll do my best to be as patient as you were.” “I love you,” she said at the end of the caption.
It appears that the couple will finally have some time to themselves in January. Matsuda wrote in her post on January 25, 2022, “Parents’ night out.” Matsuda has appeared on the red carpet with Gehlfuss several times since then.
Concerning Nick Gehlfuss’s Secret Big Wedding
Gehlfuss and Matsuda kept their 2016 wedding from the public eye. The wonderful news was then revealed to everyone a few days after his wedding. The couple married on May 13, 2016, but did not share wedding photos until two days later, on May 15. He captioned one of his photographs with a wonderful D. H. Lawrence quote. On May 17, he confirmed the news to People magazine while discussing his wedding and honeymoon plans.
“I wanted to invite a lot of my cast mates, but because we’re a franchise, I would have had to invite the entire Chicago franchise,” he said of his plans for a celebration. The couple had a “grand wedding in Ohio” on Friday the 13th.
He’d spent some of their vacation time in New York promoting Chicago Med. Gehlfuss and Matsuda had planned to travel to Japan, a country with which she has a connection because her mother is half-Japanese. Matsuda was available to marry the couple. She previously worked at Viceroy Hotel Group in Los Angeles, California, from June 2014 to August 2015. She currently works for Illinois Action for Children as the Director of Advocacy, a position she has held since December 2021.
