Her family supposedly relocated to the United States after her stepfather, a diplomat from Columbia, was abducted by rebels.

At the age of 16, Jinaro moved to Chicago and immediately signed up with an agency. Following her participation in the Telemundo series Viva Vegas!, she catapulted to notoriety.

After this episode, she went on to portray Courtney Messina on Judging Amy. She is featured in three episodes of the show.

Jinaro has not appeared in many movies. She appeared in films such as World Trade Center, Fly Boys, Havoc, and Ten Tricks, in which she portrayed Maria.

The actress stated in a 2011 interview with The General Hospital Wub Tub that theatre was her “favorite acting outlet” despite her numerous film roles. She went on to say:

“I do everything in my power to return to it between projects…there is nothing quite like telling a story to someone face-to-face.” In addition to hearing and feeling their tears, you can also hear their sniffling, laughter, and breathing. In a single night, transitioning from a fervent community attorney to a heartbroken girl longing for love to a naive young woman searching for answers is like viewing life through three different sets of eyes. It’s beautiful.”
