Aaron Rodgers, the starting quarterback of the Detroit Lions, refused to give Jameson Williams his jersey following the Packers’ Sunday night loss to the Lions. NFL players have a custom of changing jerseys after games. Williams attempted to steal Rodgers’ jersey, but the current NFL MVP insisted on keeping it, prompting many to speculate that it was Rodgers’ final game with the Packers.

“I’ve got to hang on to this one.”

According to Rodgers,

“I’ll probably have to send him a jersey because I believe I promised him one when we played in Detroit.”

However, I prefer to keep only a few special ones. So Jameson wasn’t the intended victim. Although I’ll send him one, I’m tempted to keep this one.

Following the Packers’ definitive loss to the Detroit Lions on Sunday night, which eliminated them from playoff contention, all eyes turned to Aaron Rodgers and the possibility that the Green Bay quarterback had played his final NFL game. Rodgers’ future with the Packers and the NFL, in general, has been uncertain for some time, but the four-time MVP appeared to be feeling a little nostalgic this time.

NBC cameras captured Lions wide receiver Jameson Williams approaching Rodgers after the game and asking for his jersey. Rodgers responded, “I’m going to hold on to this one,” to the request. Nobody was able to play the media.
