Actress Abigail Breslin of Little Miss Sunshine recently opened up about a tragically violent past relationship during domestic abuse awareness month.

She wrote about her two years of enduring domestic abuse on Instagram. Breslin previously discussed on Instagram how PTSD developed as a result of being sexually assaulted by an ex-boyfriend. In both cases, she kept the identity of the violent partner a secret.
“I was in an abusive relationship for two years. Everything got off to a great start, and I was smitten. Unfortunately, my attacker took advantage of my gullibility and turned the relationship aggressive as a result of how he took advantage of me.
She went into detail about the horrific treatment she had to endure and how she had to conceal the truth the entire time.
Breslin claims, “I was beaten daily, locked in rooms, and forced to maintain a false sense of normalcy while suffering from significant wounds… wounds most people didn’t even notice.” She was abused physically and verbally by her abuser.
“There were harsh verbal abuse, humiliation, and several put-downs in addition to the physical injuries.”
She continued by expressing her gratitude to everyone who has supported her during this trying time.
“I’ve never felt so alone as I did throughout these two years.” I will always be grateful for the support of my family and friends, who were indispensable in helping me escape this terrible situation.
The Zombieland actress did not identify the abuser, but the news raised questions about the actress’s private life. Freddie Highmore and Abigail Breslin had previously been associated. Due to her upbringing in Hollywood, Abigail Breslin is used to having her dating life brought up in conversation.
