Who Is Brij Bhushan Sharan, President of the Wrestling Federation of India?
On January 8, 1957, Sharan Singh was born to Smt. Pyari Devi Singh and Shri Jagdamba Sharan Singh.
Strong-willed politician Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh hails from Kaiserganj in Uttar Pradesh. He has denied the accusations and said that, if true, he is “ready to be hanged.”
When wrestlers protested the board, the Wrestling Federation of India’s president, Brij Bhushan, disregarded the accusations.
Vinesh Phogat, a wrestler, has previously accused the WFI President of harassing female wrestlers. A politician from Kaiserganj who is now a member of parliament is Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh of the Bharatiya Janata Party.
He was chosen to represent Uttar Pradesh’s Gonda district in the 10th Lok Sabha in 1991 as a Bhartiya Janata Party candidate.
In 2009, he was re-elected to the 15th Lok Sabha from the Uttar Pradesh district of Kaiserganj.
Later, months before the 16th general election, he switched parties and is currently a member of the BJP’s 17th Lok Sabha. The Indian Wrestling Federation (WFI) is led by him.
