Dateline: Secrets Uncovered on Oxygen revisited the Adam Anhang Murder Case, generating recent press coverage. This episode aired Wednesday, July 5, 2023. On September 23, 2005, a tragedy occurred in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. Anhang and his ex-wife Aurea Vazquez-Rijos left Pink Skirt nightclub.
With their marriage ending, their encounter was tense. The following occurrences were shocking. The entrepreneur was stabbed and beaten to death on the street. His estranged wife Rijos was also injured, although less severely.

Cause of Adam Anhang Death

The Pink Skirt restaurant employee Jonathan Roman Rivera was arrested and convicted of murder, changing the inquiry. A following FBI investigation exonerated Roman and named Alex Pabon Colon as the culprit. The entrepreneur’s wife recruited Colon and promised him $3 million to commit the crime. Roman was freed from detention and sued the police and prosecution for his erroneous conviction after the fresh evidence.

Uster’s tragic demise saddened his close relatives. Winnipeg, Manitoba, was his birthplace on January 26, 1973. Abraham and Barbara Anhang were devastated by their son’s death. Despite their sadness, they sought justice and the truth about their son’s death. The Anhang family pursued justice with tremendous effort.
Abraham engaged a private investigator to find Aurea, prompting the Puerto Rico FBI to reopen the investigation. Rijos was apprehended after numerous challenges, including legal strategies and escape attempts. She was convicted of murdering the real estate mogul, along with her sister Marcia Vazquez-Rijos and ex-boyfriend Jose Ferrer Sosa.
They were condemned to life in prison. The loss of Adam devastated his family, who worked to punish the perpetrators. Their motivation was driven by justice and their son’s memory.
