Addison Rae: Shares Excitement Over New Movie ‘Fashionista’

Addison Rae

Following her success on mobile platforms, Addison Rae has set her sights on the big screen!

Addison Rae was recently announced as the face of the new Paramount Players film Fashionista.

Add to that the TikToker’s multi-picture deal with streaming behemoth Netflix, and things are looking up for the up-and-coming star.

Although her first film in the multi-picture deal, He’s All That, received a low rating of 30% on Rotten Tomatoes and 4.3 on IMDb, she still has plenty of chances to redeem herself.

‘Fashionista,’ Addison Rae New Film

Rae signed up for Fashionista, according to a recent Deadline exclusive.

Amy Andelson and Emily Meyer wrote the latest script for the film, which Jennifer Gibgot and Andrew Panay are producing on behalf of Ethea Entertainment.

Ashley Brucks is said to be in charge of the Studio’s production.

A plot summary for the film has yet to be released. In all honesty, they haven’t hired a director either. The production will most likely not begin anytime soon.

Having said that, the publication assured that the film was in active development and that a decision on a director would be made in the coming weeks.

Despite receiving a lukewarm response from critics, Rae climbed to the top of Netflix’s Most Popular Movies list for the week it was released.

That’s probably why, according to the publication’s sources, several studios wanted Rae to be the face of their upcoming projects.

Rae chose Fashionista specifically because it was the type of film she desired to have on her resume.

It’s no surprise that the TikTok star-turned-actress shared the Deadline article on Instagram and Twitter.

Netflix Applauds Addison Rae’s Debut

Rae made her acting debut in He’s All That, a gender-flipped remake of the 1999 teen rom-com of the same name. She is everything.

In January, the actress told Variety that she was motivated by the desire to demonstrate to people that she was not limited to one thing.

“I want to play both the bad guy and the good guy,” she explained. “I eventually want something as deep, emotional, and genuine as possible.”

She was watching Breaking Bad at the time and taking notes.

“From the way, it’s shot to the script to the acting, it’s all incredible,” she said, before admitting that going through the movie development process herself had given her a new perspective on how she saw movies and TV shows.

Nonetheless, she stated that she enjoyed binge-watching Breaking Bad and learning from it.
