How did Adrian Amos start his Professional Career?

On November 10, 2014, the Senior Bowl announced that Amos had accepted an invitation to compete in the 2015 Senior Bowl. Before the Senior Bowl and NFL Combine, Amos was projected to be a fourth or fifth-round pick, with NFLDraftScout.com ranking him as the sixth-best free safety prospect.

Furthermore, on January 24, 2015, Amos competed in the Senior Bowl and contributed two solo tackles to the North’s 34-13 victory over the South. Amos attended the NFL combine and performed admirably, completing nearly all of the workouts but choosing not to complete the bench press.

His 40-yard sprint time of 4.39 seconds ranked seventh among all safeties, and his three-cone drill mark of 4.03 seconds placed second in his position. He also finished in the top twenty among safeties at the combine in both the 20-yard short shuttle and the 60-yard shuttle.

On March 19, 2015, Amos was elected to attend Penn State’s pro day alongside Mike Hull, Donovan Smith, Jesse James, Sam Ficken, Miles Dieffenbach, Deion Barnes, and three more teammates. He chose to perform the bench press, 40-yard sprint, and positional drills for the 19 NFL club reps and scouts who were there.

He had an outstanding overall performance, lowering his 40-yard sprint time from 4.56 seconds at the combine to 4.37 and 4.40 seconds. Amos attended private visits or workouts with the Philadelphia Eagles and Baltimore Ravens.

After the pre-draft process, the majority of NFL draft analysts and scouts anticipated Amos to be a second or fourth-round pick. NFLDraftScout.com rated him as the second-best free safety prospect in the draft, while NFL expert Charles Davis ranked him as the 13th-best safety.
