According to CNN, on January 16, 2023, a Tampa wide receiver was injured and rushed to the hospital with a concussion during an NFL Wild-Card playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys. The coach acknowledged this.

The Tampa star player hurt himself, as seen in the viral videos; he slipped on a route, fell to the ground, missed a catch, and connected with Donovan Wilson’s powerful blow to the neck.

During an NFL Wild-Card playoff game against the Dallas Cowboys, Russell suffered a serious injury.

On January 16, during a Buccaneers vs. Cowboys wild-card game, Tampa recovered and was helped off the field after taking a severe hit while attempting to grab a ball close to the end zone.

He was struck across the neck on a second down play at Tampa’s Raymond James Stadium, and as a result, he landed awkwardly, causing the game to be stopped with two minutes and 55 seconds remaining in the fourth quarter.

Trainers gathered Gage after he was hurt, and players from both sides kneeled to attend to him.

The wide receiver was also seen on the broadcast wiggling his legs while trainers attended to him, but he was rendered immobile and carried off the field.

Russell is still alive, although he is healing from his wounds.

According to Scott Smith, a team reporter with the Buccaneers, Russell’s limbs were still movable.

As soon as the wide receiver and officials stepped onto the field, an accident led authorities and medical staff to rush over to treat the player.

According to Buccaneers coach Todd Bowles, the Tampa wide receiver was taken to a nearby hospital with a concussion and was being examined for a neck injury.

Prior to Russell’s accident on the field, Buffalo Bills safety Damar Hamlin passed out after making a tackle on January 2, 2023.
