Motherhood for the actress came a little too soon when she was only eighteen, even though Moody is not yet known to have a husband. Lisa had no idea that the woman she had grown up adoring from afar was actually her mother.

Additionally, during this entire period, her real mother neither had a husband nor any other children. Lisa was asked to take a D.N.A. test by her son in order to learn more about her ancestry years after she had begun her own family. She just knew that her real mother loved her very much and that she decided to give Lisa up since she couldn’t care for her at the time.

She eventually found an uncle who informed her that they were also looking for Lisa as a result of the D.N.A. test, according to the New York Post. For the entire time, she was gone from her kid, the “Roots” actress only longed to see her. She lived her life without a spouse or another kid, but when she made her first phone call to her daughter, everything finally clicked back into place. Write described the phone call as

 “Is this my daughter?” a voice on the other end of the line asks. And I immediately thought, “Oh my God, is this, my mother?”

“Yes, dear, this is your mother.”

Lynne’s emotions overflowed and she compared the experience of finding her daughter to “giving birth.”

All I did for those 50 years was try to learn to live with it. Moody described the constant yearning for her daughter. A few years after the phone call, the mother-daughter pair reconnected and were spotted at an event on October 21, 2018. So to speak, the mother and daughter make a stunning pair, and the hugs and smiles they had on that particular day are now visible for all to see and treasure.
