King Viserys Targareyen on House of the Dragon, Paddy Considine, on what is to come after the spectacular episode 8. Only two more episodes remain for House of the Dragon’s debut season, which just released its eighth episode.
Fans’ initial expectations for the Game of Thrones prequel were surpassed, and people have greeted the new show with just as much anticipation as they had for the prequel’s predecessor.
The eighth episode was focused on providing those huge plot-turning moments that were anticipated with the big finale quickly approaching.
King Viserys I (Paddy Considine), one of the most important characters on the show, met his demise when his deteriorating illness reached its lowest point. Viserys was regarded throughout as the King who only desired two things: that a fitting Targaryen sit on the Iron Throne and that House Targaryen stay unified in the face of any enemy that shall arrive.
However, as we witnessed Queen Alicent Hightower (Olivia Cooke) and Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen (Emma D’Arcy) competing with one another to ensure their children inherit the Iron throne, Viserys found House Targaryen more divided than ever toward the conclusion of his reign.
However, the most recent episode had a touching family meal scene in which Viserys implored his loved ones to remain as one. Paddy Considine, an actor, teased about what lies ahead for House Targaryen and discussed the sad way his character said his final goodbye in an interview with The Hollywood Reporter.
Paddy Considine on the destiny of Viserys
Considine acknowledged that Viserys dies in a “noble and dignified” manner after such a protracted illness. Speaking on how gaining control and accepting the king’s role signals the beginning of his decline, he remarked, “The physical demands of being a king have an impact on health.
Therefore, it was amusing to watch him decline. He merely wants to act morally. I was happy that he got to speak a few words before he left.”
The actor continued, “I think not giving the throne to my sister Rhaenys was my biggest mistake.” Given that war will soon break out after the King’s passing because of the battle for the Iron Throne and its rightful heir.
According to THR, Considine gave fans a preview of what to expect by adding, “It’s pure destruction, mayhem, and chaos.”
