After Seven Years, “KARA” Is Returning To The Music Industry

KARA

KARA, a K-pop female group, will reunite after a seven-year absence. The album’s release was announced by the group’s management on September 19 in celebration of their 15th anniversary. Soompi quoted an RBW insider as saying:

“KARA will release their 15th debut anniversary album in November.”

The group’s next album will be released by RBW because their prior agency, DSP Media, was purchased by RBW. In regards to their return, the group stated (through their representative):

“We want to enjoy the album full of bright and sunny energy with fans like a festival since this is an album designed for fans who have constantly shown love and support with a constant heart for a long time.”

Fans flooded social media with posts welcoming the beloved female group’s return after it was revealed that their reunion would take place in November. The news that former members Nicole and Jiyoung, who left the group in 2014, will be making a comeback alongside Gyuri, Seungyeon, and Youngji, has generated a lot of excitement among fans.

KARA supporters celebrate the legendary female group’s comeback on social media.

The second-generation K-pop group is the most recent in a long line of comebacks this year, which has already seen venerable ensembles like Girls’ Generation and Super Junior return with brand-new music.

The most recent KARA project was In Love, the group’s seventh mini album, which was released in May 2015. Given this, the information that there had been a seven-year break enraged fans.

A handful of shows are also scheduled for the band to play in the promotion of the new album. Older K-pop fans now have optimism for the reunion of other groups after hearing about the Wonder Girls’ reunion.
