After Snapping At Machine Gun Kelly On Twitter, Joyner Lucas Apologized To Him

Rapper Joyner Lucas slammed musician Machine Gun Kelly on Thursday, March 24, in addition to the Lollapalooza festival’s organizers. In a string of tweets that have since been deleted, Lucas criticized Lollapalooza for using his brand to promote lesser-known acts.

The rapper added that he was given a pittance in exchange for taking part in the event. The organizers included Lucas’ name on the artists’ posters, which they posted on Tuesday, even though he had declined their invitation to take part in the event.

The headline performers for Lollapalooza were listed in larger characters over the names of the other lineups. The primary performers included Greenday, Dua Lipa, Metallica, Doja Cat, Machine Gun Kelly, Lil Baby, and Kygo. Joyner, meanwhile, was demoted to the middle of the tier list and had his name printed in a much smaller form.

After shouting at Machine Gun Kelly on Twitter, Joyner Lucas expressed regret

Joyner Lucas first attributed his rage to “Russian hackers” before apologizing to Machine Gun Kelly on Twitter. Lucas apologized for his previous outbursts on the network in a string of tweets on March 26.

My phone was hacked by those damn Russian hackers yesterday, smh.

The Massachusetts native claims that,

That belongs to me. “I’ve a history of getting angry about certain things and ranting on social media.”

He afterward tweeted an apology to MGK and the following:

I won’t throw a fit and shoot at n**gaz for no reason, I’ll say. I did nothing to merit that sad tweet from @machinegunkelly. Please accept my apologies if you are reading this.

Lucas later clarified that he was ranting because he thought he deserved “better s**t” rather than the initial statement that he felt that way. The rapper advised against “checking” and establishing one’s worth. Lucas calls himself “the largest independent artist in the world,” excluding rappers like Tech N9ne and RUSS.

What was the subject of Joyner Lucas’ erased rage?

In his initial tweets, Lucas expressed his annoyance at being grouped among lesser-known bands. The rapper also took offense at the font size difference between his name and Machine Gun Kelly’s name on the flyer. He wrote:

“n****z who aren’t even on my level or doing my numbers are getting BIG LETTERS on the flier while they write my sh*t hella small,” the speaker yelled.

In his tweets, the rapper called Machine Gun Kelly (real name Colson Baker) a “goofy-a** ni**a.” Additionally, Lucas referred to MGK’s long-running conflict with Eminem, saying:

What my brother Marshall [Eminem] did to this n**** @machinegunkelly was nothing compared to what’s in store for him if he chooses to follow in my footsteps. Nobody gives a n**** who paints his nails a second thought.
