Alaskan Bush People is a Discovery Channel docudrama-style reality television series that follows the lives of the Brown family as they attempt to survive in the wilderness while cut off from modern society.
The show, which was shot near Hoonah, Alaska, and Chichagof Island, premiered on May 6, 2014. The subsequent seasons were shot in Okanogan County, Washington.
However, in February 2020, the show’s fans demanded that it be canceled in the aftermath of cast member Bear Brown’s drug consumption case.

The alleged incident arose after Bear’s girlfriend, Raiven Adams, with whom he shares a young son, allegedly accused him of drug abuse.
She also revealed that he had threatened to retaliate if she went public with the allegations.
She did, however, come forward with the truth, for which she was granted a temporary restraining order against him.
Following the news, fans began to criticize the show and demanded that it be canceled.
“You can tell the whole family is off, and their whole “I’m living in the wilderness” [expletive] is ridiculous. If it hasn’t already been canceled, this show should be “Someone commented on Facebook.

Bear and Raiven are currently married and living with their one-year-old son, River.
Is the Alaskan Bush People Show Cancelled?
When the controversy erupted, Alaskan Bush People was not airing, and there was no announcement about the 12th season.
The most recent episode [at the time] aired on January 29, 2020, and it was the final episode of Season 11.
Despite the backlash, the show did not die, and it will return to television on August 23, 2020, with Season 12.
The 12th season aired eight episodes from October 11, 2020, to October 11, 2021.
In Season 13, ‘Alaskan Bush People’ Paid Tribute to a Lost Member.
Following Season 12, the show, particularly the Brown family, was saddened by the death of the late patriarch Billy Brown.
Billy died on February 7, 2021, at the age of 68, after suffering a seizure, according to People.
As a result, in Season 13 of the reality television series, the Brown family attempted to pay homage to the old man.
Billy’s wife Ami Brown, daughters Rain and Snowbird, and sons Bear, Matt, Bam Bam, Gabe, and Noah reflected on his legacy in the first episode of the season.
“Dad always said we’d have to carry on without him one day,” Bam Bam explained. “But we weren’t prepared for him to leave.”
“Looking back, Dad knew his time in this world was coming to an end, and we can see now that he was laying out a plan for us, preparing us to achieve the vision,” Snowbird added. “If only we had realized his plan sooner.”
The 13th season of the show is set to premiere on Discovery on September 19, 2021. On November 28, the season concluded after 14 episodes.
The next season, Season 14, has yet to be announced.
