The upcoming movie, which is based on the DC Comics character Black Adam, is the eleventh entry in the DCEU (DC Extended Universe). In the next superhero movie, Carter Hall, portrayed by critically acclaimed American actor Aldis Hodge, will play Hawkman.
The script was written by Rory Haines, Adam Sztykiel, and Sohrab Noshirvani, and it was directed by Jaume Collet-Serra. In addition to acting in the movie, Dwayne Johnson also produces it alongside Hiram Garcia, Beau Flynn, and Dany Garcia. The movie’s music was composed by Lorne Balfe, while Lawrence Sher served as the film’s cinematographer.
According to the movie’s official synopsis:
“In ancient Kahndaq, Teth Adam was given the power of the gods. After turning into Black Adam to exact retribution, he was put in prison.
Black Adam has evolved from a man to a myth to a legend after more than 5,000 years. Modern-day heroes Hawkman, Dr. Fate, Atom Smasher, and Cyclone are now opposing his distinctive form of justice, which was forged out of rage.
Warner Bros.’s superhero movie’s debut trailer featured brief glimpses of Aldis Hodge as Carter Hall, nicknamed Hawkman. Fans were eager to see what the main character, Black Adam, would bring to the table.

American actor Aldis Hodge was a Marine Corps veteran before becoming a brilliant actor. Edwin Hodge, a well-known actor, is his older brother.
In the popular 1995 movie Die Hard with a Vengeance, Aldis Hodge made his acting debut as Raymond. The 36-year-old actor became well-known after playing Alec Hardison in the TV series Leverage from 2008 to 2012.
