Alec and Hilaria Baldwin have had their seventh child, a daughter named Ilaria Catalina Irene. Alec, 64, and Hilaria, 38, Baldwin, according to People Magazine, announced the birth of their daughter in a joint statement. “We are pleased to announce the birth of our newest daughter.
Like amazing and loving as every previous child we’ve been given the opportunity to raise. Her Baldwinito siblings are ecstatic and debating who she most resembles… We are pleased to introduce you to infant Ilaria.”
According to the magazine, the infant girl was born on September 22 and weighed 6 pounds and 13 ounces. Hilaria Baldwin also posted a little video of her infant and their other children’s reactions to Ilaria on Instagram.
“She’s here!” We can’t wait to show you the realization of our humble goal. We are both content and healthy. Today, her Baldwinito siblings are introducing themselves and welcome her into our home. Best wishes to everyone. We are thrilled to share with you this wonderful news.”
They met in 2011 at Sarma Melngailis’ Pure Food and Wine in New York and have been married for 12 years, welcoming six additional children, Carmen (age 9), Rafael (age 7), Leonardo (age 5), Romeo (age 4), Eduardo (age 2), and Lucia (age 2). (1). Eighteen months.
Relationship between Alec and Hilaria Baldwin
Alec and Hilaria Baldwin first met in a New York restaurant where she was dining with a friend in February 2011.
Alec responded on Instagram about the incident (via Us Weekly):
“On a February evening that was unusually warm, I entered Pure Food and Wine on Irving Place. As [Brendan O’Connell] and I sat (outside! ), I spied a woman to my left who would change my life.”
In a 2012 interview with The New York Times, the couple said that Alec approached Hilaria but did not provide her with his phone number, but rather a message inviting her to call him.
“I was waiting with my friends near the door when he approached, grabbed my hand, and said, ‘I must know you.'”
Eventually, Hilaria called him, and the two went on several dates before becoming romantically involved. However, their romance progressed slowly, with the yoga instructor pondering its nature after only a few dates.
Six weeks in a row, he shook my hand. Following our most romantic dinner date, he would drop me off at my home and shake my hand.
After getting to know each other for five months, Hilaria Baldwin and Alec moved in together and were soon engaged. In April 2012, the actor’s representative confirmed the news to People magazine.
“Yes, you are accurate! This past weekend, Alec proposed to Hilaria, and we are all ecstatic for them! Tomorrow is Alec’s birthday; what a lovely way to celebrate!”
Two months after their engagement, they wed in June 2012 in the Basilica of St. Patrick’s Old Cathedral in New York. Celebrities such as Lorne Michaels, Tina Fey, Alec Baldwin’s siblings Billy and Stephen Baldwin, Woody Allen, and Mariska Hargitay attended their weddings.
With a 26-year age gap, Alec and Hilaria Baldwin welcomed their first child, Carmen Gabriela, on August 23, 2013. In 2016, the Saturday Night Live actor revealed to Elle Decor how their age gap affects their parenting style.
