of engagement, according to a Closer exclusive.
Michael told Closer, “I wish her just the best,” following their split. At the restaurant where she worked, Alex had supper with the Guy’s Grocery Games competitor. In June 2020, the Chopped judge and the chef got engaged, four years after they had started dating.
The relationship between chef Michael Castellon and Chopped judge Alex Guarnaschelli’s history
Four years into their relationship, the couple announced their engagement in June 2020. On Instagram, the Chopped judge posted a picture of the emerald ring along with the caption:
The Chopped judge said to People magazine in 2000 that they were not in a hurry to be hitched but that she was looking forward to a big celebration:
“I’d want to have a blowout, but we’re not in a rush.” “I need a tri-state rager,” you say.
She also described how Michael Castellon, her ex-boyfriend, proposed to her. She described how, to pull off the surprise proposal, he took advantage of her gullibility:
It’s odd, but I believe one of the factors contributing to our four years of relationship has been his ability to tell me anything and have me believe him. He just busts out laughing, as he always does, as soon as I start to get agitated.
She quickly drove to the grocery shop to get more bread for a cheese plate as the two were organizing a socially-distanced get-together with some pals to honor Guarnaschelli’s birthday.
Guarnaschelli claims that while the two were returning from the shop, Castellon pulled over and told her he had seen a baby deer. Castellon suggested as they set out to look for the baby deer, saying:
Deer are not present. “Are you willing to marry me?” I asked. “This is why I had to marry you because you always believe me.”
Guarnascheeli was formerly married to Brandon Clark, with whom she had a daughter named Ava who is now 12 years old. Also disclosed by the Chopped judge to People was the fact that Castellon asked Ava’s consent before getting hitched to her mother. She also wrote on Instagram about how much she missed her father and how thrilled she was to match Castellon. She remarked:
“My father passed away around two years ago. He would have enjoyed watching this. Mike claimed he would have asked for permission. I’m not sure whether my father has ever acknowledged somebody with an “OK”! He would be pleased if Mike asked. I just want to express how much I miss my father. We all experience loss, and right now I’m enjoying the memories of my father.
Guarnaschelli said in response to a question from a fan on her Instagram story about a talent or quality she wishes he possessed:
The Chopped judge then responded to a new query regarding potential regrets. She remarked:
In the last few years, I’ve had some of my worst regrets, Sincerely, I haven’t been able to take them all in effectively or graciously. I use food preparation, therapy, physical activity, friendships, sleep, water, time, tears, and cake for healing. Neither Alex nor the other have posted an official remark on their respective social media accounts in response to the report.
