Wesley was sentenced to three years in prison for tax evasion shortly after the birth of Alimayu. After his release, Snipes told the Guardian that his time in prison made him appreciate his family more. While Alimayu’s mother, Park, lives away from the spotlight, she does, as previously said, occasionally exhibit her artworks at various galleries across the country. She appears to have been interested in painting since childhood. She is also a graphic designer and a makeup artist. In fact, Park and Snipes reportedly met through their shared interest in the arts.
