After a prosperous career in racing, he tied the knot with the woman of his dreams, Carisa Meyers, in 2005. Ryan Anderson, Weston Anderson, and Krysten Anderson are Adam’s four offspring. Ryan Anderson now operates his truck, the Son-uva-Digger, while his sons Adam and Krysten continue Dennis’s history as Grave Digger drivers.
While competing in the Monster Jam Arena Championship, Weston Anderson has switched from driving his truck, the Bog Hog, to driving the Grave Digger. From 1987 until 1989, Leslie Anderson, brother of Dennis Anderson, piloted Larry Cook’s Texas Toy monster truck.

How did Dennis Anderson start his Professional Career?
Anderson’s job driving monster trucks was a happy accident. He built a truck out of a red-primed Ford from the ’52 model year and gave it the name ‘Grave Digger’ about a famous brag. A 1951 Ford panel truck in silver and blue was used to re-create the vehicle.
Anderson, who already had large tractor tires on the vehicle, volunteered to crush cars in place of a monster truck that was late to a local festival. Anderson’s passion for monster trucks grew after the event.
Not that everything in his career went smoothly. Several wounds also tried to get in his way. For instance, he missed the entire 1992–93 season because he fractured his kneecap while riding in Chicago. In the same year, he suffered many rib fractures, which left him with chronic ear pain until he fully recovered.
In 2003, a fractured hand forced him to quit the ongoing competition. Due to a wrist injury, his son had to fill in for him at the eighth installment of the Monster Jam Finals. The media has only reported a fraction of the injuries that have occurred.
His monster truck profession is so good that it has earned him a slew of accolades. He won the points championship at the 1999 Motor Madness World Finals.
