Joe mentioned in an interview with Yahoo Life that he had starred in advertising alone or with background extras. Onset, he engaged in brief chats. When he was compelled to shoot with his spouse, though, he got highly anxious and apprehensive.
Joe was only pondering bringing Jennifer to dinner during filming. The NFL player then accompanied her to her car and extended an invitation to hang out together.
The duo had instant chemistry upon meeting. Joe took his wife to dinner after six months of dating, and at the end of the meal, he wrote on the check, “Jen, what would you say if I asked you to spend the rest of your life with me?” His wife responded by stating she had never considered marriage or a long-term relationship.
She answered, “Well, I’ll have to plead the fifth.” That was the extent of her response, as she lacked additional words. Joe was pleased to have not received a “no” response. He believed he still had a chance, so he devised a strategy to make it happen.
In addition, he saw this as an opportunity to be inventive. He chartered an airplane and circled the stadium while waving flags.
The player approached the pilot and demanded that he obtain a banner that stated, “Jen, I am your father.” “Will you wed me?” Since the beginning of their relationship in 1985, the couple has been inseparable.
His wife explained,
“He is also my best friend, so he is the first person I want to do things with and spend time with.”
Joe never expected to develop a friendship during commercial production. Joe, on the other hand, had been married twice before meeting his current partner.
Additionally, he sued his first wife, Kim Moses, for $75,000, as well as an auction business that sold his personal property.
Joe Montana’s Offspring
They have four children: Alexandra and Elizabeth, Nathaniel Joseph, and Nicholas Alexander. Both of their sons attended and played football at De La Salle High School.
After graduating from West Virginia Wesleyan University, Nathaniel became an undrafted free agent, while Nicholas became an undrafted free agent after graduating from Tulane University.
In an interview with the Mercury News, Joe expressed his satisfaction and happiness over the fact that both of his kids have followed in his footsteps by playing football.
It is depicted that Joe and his wife are spending time with their children and grandchildren. The news reported their grandchild’s kidnapping a year ago.
On September 26, 2020, the NFL player and his husband confronted a woman who they believed was attempting to abduct their sleeping granddaughter from a playpen.
According to the Associated Press, a woman entered their Malibu home and abducted the child. To “de-escalate” the situation, the couple confronted the stranger and demanded the return of their granddaughter.
Although the grandchild’s identity has not been published, Joe’s spouse was able to remove the child from the intruder’s grasp.
