How did Joe Aribo start his Professional Career?

Aribo played for Staines Town in the Isthmian League Premier Division under Marcus Gayle, and he was named academy player of the year in April 2014.

Aribo trialed with Charlton Athletic in September 2015 and signed a one-year contract in May 2016. On October 16, 2016, he made his first-team debut in a 2-0 loss to Crawley Town in an EFL Trophy group stage encounter at The Valley, replacing Andrew Crofts in the 62nd minute. He came on in the 70th minute of his team’s 2-0 loss against Peterborough United in the EFL League One on December 17, and six days later, he extended his contract until 2019.

Aribo scored his first professional goal on November 1, 2017, the game-winning goal in a 3-2 EFL Trophy group-stage victory over Fulham under-21 at home. During the season, he scored four more goals, including two on April 2, 2018, in a 3-1 win over Rotherham United to help the Addicks finish sixth and qualify for the playoffs.
