Keenan Kitchens of Boston is slated to compete in the upcoming dance competition. Keenan is an up-and-coming dancer who has been in multiple advertising, including BET and GAP spots. Dance 100’s season premiere will air on March 17 at 3:01 a.m. EDT.
Dance 100, the newest dance competition on Netflix, will feature a record number of performers and directors. The participants in the upcoming season are not striving to be the next best performers; rather, they are vying for a $100,000 prize as the next best director.
Dance 100 competitor Keenan Kitchens served as a “moving coach” on an episode of Blindspot.
Keenan Kitchens is one of eight applicants chosen for Dance 100 on Netflix.
According to his Instagram profile, the potential Dance 100 contestant has previously collaborated with Cardi B, JLo, Kelly Rowland, Prince Royce, Kendrick Lamar, Nicki Minaj, Lizza Halsey, Dua Lipa, J Balvin, and BTS, among others.
According to his website, he has directed advertisements for BET and GAP and served as a “movement coach” for an episode of season 2 of Blindspot.
As stated on the website:
“Keenan was Cardi B’s first choreographer. During his tenure with Cardi, he choreographed her debut performance, “The Underrated Tour.” Also, he supervised her first two award show appearances at the MTV Video Music Awards and the BET Awards Aftershow.”

“Keenan has also collaborated on choreography with David Guetta, J Balvin, Bebe Rexha, Meek Mill, and Yo Gotti. Also, he has worked as a backup dancer for Kelly Rowland and Lizzo. His dancing may be observed in both Lizzo’s Made in America and Saturday Night Live performances. Keenan has just begun his career as a choreographer.”
The future contestant in Dance 100 was raised in Boston, Massachusetts. He began performing at age 14 and moved to New York City in 2008 to pursue employment as a performer.
He has taught in Japan, South Korea, China, Peru, Spain, Germany, France, Argentina, England, Italy, Switzerland, Israel, Canada, and South Africa.
The member of the ensemble is a teaching faculty member at Studio Broadway Dance Center in New York City and a special faculty member at Movement Lifestyle and Millennium Dance Complex in Los Angeles.
His courses as a teacher emphasize “increasing performance quality,” and he urges his students not only to be receptive but also to find ways to connect dance and music to everyday situations.
His Broadway Ballet Center biography states:
“The session will begin with a warm-up consisting of physical activity and fundamental Hip-Hop rhythms used throughout Keenan’s routines. In class, you will be encouraged to include personality, acting, precision, and rhythm into your routines. The seminars taught by Keenan are HIGH ENERGY, so dress appropriately.”
Among those who have joined Netflix are Rudy Garcia, Brandi Chun, Rex Kline, Akira Armstrong, Celine Edmondson, Max Pham, and Janick Arseneau.
According to Netflix’s press release, the program will consist of:
“There may be one hundred performers in a room… But, it will take all of them to identify the next great director. In the new competition series Dance 100, which begins on March 17, every move counts.”
Season one of Dance 100 will premiere on Netflix on March 17th.
