For the next three years, Kress modeled for a variety of print advertisements as well as voice-over roles in multiple commercials, the most prominent of which was his dual role as the voices of “Easy” and “Tough Pup” in the 1998 feature picture Babe: Pig in the City. Kress opted to take a vacation from acting at the age of six and return to regular education.

Kress was cast as “The Emperor” in a school play of The Emperor’s New Clothes when he was eleven years old. This part rekindled his passion for performing. He asked his parents at the end of his fifth-grade school year whether he could be home-schooled to pursue his acting career.

Later, he made cameo appearances in several films and television shows. Kress starred in the Nickelodeon television film Gym Teacher: The Movie in 2008. Kress played Roland, a rather clumsy student who is moved to a new school and must be whipped into shape by his gym teacher Dave Stewie.
